THE AUDIT UNDER A MICROSCOPE
Your audit has numbers.
We find the ones that don’t add up.
RateRecon reviews workers’ compensation policies, payroll, final audits, and supporting records to identify unexplained differences, organize evidence, and show what deserves a closer look.
SIGNATURE UI · EVIDENCE TRACE
Follow the value, not the story.
RateRecon connects the source document to the exact value, the comparison, the difference, and the state of verification.
WHAT SURFACED?
Findings stay specific.
Sample findings show how a review separates the observed difference from the conclusion that still needs proof.
Payroll reconciliation
$545,000 → $690,000Document difference detected. Reconciliation worksheet required.
NEEDS VERIFICATIONClassification change
8810 → 7380Class code changed between records. Rule applicability not assumed.
EVIDENCE LOCATEDPremium difference
$3,255.94Deterministic variance shown separately from verified recovery.
POTENTIAL EXPOSUREExperience mod
1.21 → 1.37Source field changed. Experience-rating support still required.
BASIS MISSINGWHAT HAPPENED?
Data should be the art.
Quiet tables make the important interruption obvious. No decorative finance imagery—just the values an analyst needs to inspect.
WHERE DID THE NUMBERS CHANGE?
Reconciliation before accusation.
- Compare policy, payroll, tax support, and final audit totals.
- Highlight class-code and modifier changes without guessing.
- Keep potential exposure separate from verified recovery.
- Turn missing proof into a precise carrier question.
CORE PRINCIPLE
We separate what happened from what still needs proving.
THE INVESTIGATION
One continuous story from records to action.
Each step answers one question, so the review gets clearer as it moves forward.
What happened?
Gather policy, payroll, audit, endorsements, and support.
Where did it change?
Compare totals, class codes, modifiers, and premiums.
What supports it?
Locate the exact page, row, cell, or document.
What needs proof?
Show blockers and verification states clearly.
What do we ask?
Export a professional report for the carrier or team.
WHAT WE REVIEW
Bring the whole audit file.
VERIFICATION
Evidence first. Conclusions second.
Three lanes keep the review useful without overclaiming: document reconciliation, customer-recorded external verification, and permitted rule-assisted review.
Document reconciliation
Works from the records you provide. No regulatory rule pack required.
External rule verification
Restricted sources stay outside RateRecon and are recorded as customer verification.
Permitted rule-assisted review
Only terms-permitted sources are processed temporarily, then deleted.
REPORT PREVIEW
Evidence becomes an action list.
A finished review gives your team a clean handoff—not a dramatic conclusion.
Source trail, assumptions, missing evidence, and carrier questions stay together in the customer-safe report.
CLEAR BOUNDARIES
Precision without fake certainty.
Does RateRecon decide whether the carrier is wrong?
No. It identifies observed discrepancies, preserves the evidence trail, and shows what still requires qualified review.
Do I need an NCCI subscription?
No for document reconciliation. External NCCI checks stay outside RateRecon and are recorded as customer-supplied verification.
Can I use a customer rule document?
Only a permitted non-NCCI source with terms confirmation. It is tenant-isolated, processed temporarily, and deleted after analysis.
PRIVACY
Your audit data isn’t our training library.
Customer files remain tenant-isolated. Permitted temporary rule sources are not shared across customers and are deleted after processing according to policy.
